对于我这种完全不了解相关历史、信仰的人来说，这是一本看完就忘的流水账... 更希望了解无尽诛罚、繁衍、毁灭和营造背后是怎样的心理和动机，但也许作者意不在此 / 书里的一个意外高频词是 rebrand

邂逅：2016.1.图书馆；旅程：2016.3.10.-2016.4.16.；地点：坡；虽然很厚，但每章都很简短，读来也就不那么吃力。头一次了解罗马帝国时代耶路撒冷和罗马，基督教与犹太教的相爱相杀。但毕竟要讲三千年的历史，感觉历史纵深与每一个切面的细致展开是一个trade off。我的阅读体验也就在冗繁无聊与刺激有料间徘徊。

明年春节以色列行行前阅读。读了个开头，已经被公元前中东近东的血雨腥风来来去去搞得晕头转向了噗。//基本一个月的时间刷完。前三分之二非常精彩，漫漫历史长卷上人来人往，好不热闹。19世纪开始稍冗长无聊，幸好20世纪又精彩了起来。结合三千年历史，才能意识到1947年以色列建国这件事的重要性，而且远远不是必然，是各种时势与偶然因素的结合。阿拉伯人从一开始就各种内斗作死，作到20世纪把巴勒斯坦几乎作没了。另外一点是看起来20世纪初犹太和阿拉伯领袖基本都是温和派，越接近20世纪末极端势力越强大。
