读中文版时候感觉毛姆讲得是梦想，而读英文版才察觉到stickland所呈现的一种带有原始、野蛮的本质力量的生命状态，他的真实从下半身开始，具体，野蛮，性感，无遮拦，回到了最原始的关于身体的叙述。
