終於，又讀不下去瞭。。。

YO:莎士比亞戲劇沒什麼完整性，每次搬上舞颱都是刪減版。他活在今天就是寫颱詞的.語言與智商並沒有多大聯係，喬姆斯基隻懂英語，有的餐廳領班能熟練遊走於十幾種語言之間。最後，和隻插竹葉的賣花姑娘一樣，精通數國語言的大師認為，真正的理解隻有在靜默中纔能達到。狐狸不是對小王子說過，語言是誤解的根源?

用到的literature和theory都太dense瞭，每一頁讀完我都要思考好久，導緻無法一次性讀完，隻得把戰綫拖得這麼長，前前後後讀瞭半個多月...但其實Steiner很多arguments的齣發點都並非理論，而是常識。所以某些方麵這本高深的書又顯得非常接地氣。

翻譯課恰好做他The Hermeneutic Motion節選的presentation，短短五頁內容緊實又有條理，讀瞭我好久卻又不得不服，於是把整本書藉來看（75首版的，據說重發第二本時他刪改瞭很多，還加進去瞭些新的內容，比如Derrida，第三版最當下）。作者本人在英法德三語傢庭中長大（也是贏在瞭起跑綫上），可以說是個Kabbalist，書裏的援引無所不有又天衣無縫，現在還在震撼的餘波中。有些人很煩他愛用"big words"，但覺得其實用得並不賣弄，真的隻是最便捷實際的概念打包方式。
