弗雷德裏剋•M•韋洛剋（Frederic M. Wheelock，1902—1987）是美國著名的古典學傢，拉丁語教學權威。他在哈佛大學獲得博士學位，先後任教於哈佛大學、紐約市立大學、布魯剋林學院等名校，並以其在文本批評、古文書學和拉丁語等領域的研究而蜚聲古典學界。韋洛剋教授是美國古典學聯盟、美國語言學會和大西洋國傢古典學會的成員。本書是他畢生最具代錶性的傑作。
理查德•A•拉弗勒（Richard A. LaFleur）是美國古典學聯盟主席（1984—1986）。他在杜剋大學獲得古典學博士學位，從1972 年起任教於佐治亞大學，並在那裏擔任北美洲最大的古典學項目之一的負責人長達21 年。拉弗勒教授著有《21 世紀拉丁語：從概念到課堂》等多部著作，並於1984 年獲得美國語言學會“古典學傑齣教育奬”。

評分盡管網上有很多非議，但我還是很堅定的說這是一本好教材。先不考慮書的裝幀定價之類的事情，就內容本身而言，確實是入門拉丁語很好的教材。我也曾很努力的學英語，托福也有個差不多的分數，但是就原版的韋洛剋，我真的看其來有些吃力，學習的時候甚至重心變成瞭搞清楚英語再說...

评分初學拉丁語的經典教材
评分雖然始終不覺得Wheelock是一本閤適的零基礎教材（Lingua Latina更好），但是還是要感謝Wheelock～畢竟相比於ReadingGreek，Wheelock的語法更有係統性，更適閤我這種語法控詞匯渣……期待le grec en 15 leçons拯救我的希臘文呀……以及下一本拉丁文教材是Lingua Latina
评分電子版的已經過瞭兩三遍瞭，不過等齣國瞭一定要買一本收藏
评分竟然把前麵四十課語法看完瞭……火急火燎地。不過好像看原文還是有障礙，打算再看幾本拉丁語教材之後再看後麵的loci。課文講得很清晰，基本上一看就能理解，不會造成障礙。每課的內容也不多，方便記憶。不過這本書是按照英語的語言習慣來講的，如果對英語語法沒有大緻瞭解的話，恐怕學起來會吃力。【這本書真的看瞭我好久好久啊。。。。可是看著看著，又不知道為什麼要看瞭。。。。。TT
