最初讀的動力是因為...Carson是海洋生物學傢..還是看中文的吧吧吧....

知道這本書和它的作者完全是因為《三體》，第一反應甚至把它想象成瞭一部小說。。。顯然我忽略瞭，作者是科學傢，葉文潔也是，她們要靠數據和分析說話。。。正文300來頁，list of principal sources就有50多頁。。。有點囉嗦，可讀性一般，可是真的需要大傢一直讀下去。

環境保護、食品安全這種看似爛大街的題材，卻深入淺齣，交織穿插各方利益博弈角逐，遊刃有餘，是科學人文寫作範本。人類的短視打破瞭生態鏈，自以為消滅瞭害蟲，其實毀掉瞭人和近乎無限繁殖的昆蟲之間的自然屏障。50年前的寫作深度和立意比國內“驚！蘋果竟然不能吃！”不知道高到哪裏去瞭。
