DNF。显然我只是个看热闹的外行。我是想来看queer theory的具体内容的，结果只有对理论形成历史的叙述，而"queer"也的确只是一个难以定义的涵盖术语。不能说书不好，只是和我预期不符。看到这里的人们可以无视我不具有参考性的评价了。（ETA：一段时间后重新翻开这本书，修正了我原本就不太正确的预期，意识到以前给分低了。三星改成四星。对于理清queer theory发展脉络还是很有用的一本书。（再次ETA：写论文才发现这书实在太有用了。曾经觉得它不够好完全是因为我相关知识的缺失，我悔过，有心了解queer theory的人请不要大意地捧起这本书吧。

海龙果读书会上备受瞩目的重口“小黄书”，内容很有意思。从起初带有病理化色彩的homesexual，到具有社群意识的gay/lesbian认同，再到颠覆传统性别性征观念、拒绝本质主义定义的queer（酷儿），作者结合性少数群体政治权利运动的历史，梳理了直至酷儿理论诞生的社会思潮发展脉络，展现出酷儿理论的独特创见，以及其“叛离”身份政治而引发的争议。

优点在于为深度阅读铺展路径，其弱点在于几乎只是在话语层面进行推演，当时当下的历史实践与哲学思潮的交叉对话隐而不显，特别是到了80年代末，酷儿理论登台亮相，面对种种质疑，作者几乎一股脑把辩词推到酷儿的不稳定性与持续重构性上来，难以让人信服，结果造成的印象是只有认识论层面的更新，而利用此认识论进行踏实的实在研究的作品依旧是犹抱琵琶半遮面。

有自己的见解，也有对代表性理论家和运动过程的介绍，语言清晰易懂。作者特别推崇Butler, 观点也相近，喜欢她的人特别适合读这本书。
