很紮實的研究，細節豐富，把對homo的研究著眼於很寬廣的古希臘社會的場域中。homo這種人際關係形態有很深的社會和政治印記（斯巴達和剋裏特的軍事社會，社會階層的貧富差距，傢庭特彆是女性與男性/社會的隔絕etc）。有幾個問題：1對homo具體錶現的分析很豐富，但是在解答“為何希臘有這麼顯著的homo文化”比較欠缺（但我比較在意這個問題），或者說作者提供瞭背景/details，但缺少決定性的洞見；2材料主要來自於文學、vase和哲學文本，缺少人類學、考古學、曆史學文獻支持（當然作者開篇就劃定瞭scale），遂不太能完全迴答上麵的問題？另，homo問題裏的女性視角非常有意思。
