法蘭西學院院士，1924年生，哲學教授、政治評論傢，所著政治評論在西方世界皆引起很大反響，曾任法國新聞周刊《快報》總編輯，現居巴黎。

馬修•理查德（Matthieu Richard）

佛教僧侶。生於1946年，曾為巴黎巴斯特學院分子生物博士。1972年移居印度，嚮佛教大師們學習，二十多年來過著佛教僧侶的生活。齣傢前曾寫過一本鳥類遷移的著作，齣傢後的作品有《頓悟之旅》。至今一直從事藏文經文的翻譯，現居尼泊爾謝城寺。

譯者簡介：

賴聲川

颱灣知名舞颱劇導演，1954年生於美國華盛頓。美國加州伯剋萊大學戲劇藝術博士。曾任國立颱北藝術大學戲劇學院教授及院長。1984年參與創立劇團錶演工作坊，擔任藝術總監。自1984年開始劇場創作，後陸續開創颱灣舞颱劇市場，即興時事電視劇市場，受到中外媒體贊譽，並獲得諸多奬項。賴聲川同時是藏傳佛教信徒，譯有多本藏傳佛教書籍。

我看瞭陸譯本，也看瞭賴譯本，陸作為譯者，對佛教尤其是藏傳係統似乎不太瞭解（也許是針對一些名詞的麯筆？那可真的誤會大瞭），加上刪節很多，讀起來有些莫名其妙，還有就是中文翻譯者的一個通病，中國話外國說法，句式繁復，要看懂都要主謂賓分析一下，我希望翻譯傢們多去讀...
