1.如豆瓣评论里所说，治史方法值得学习；2. 对文艺复兴精神定调性的作品，但许多表述或许太过；3.得到的东西很多，但从中生发的问题更多。能引发人思考的书或许就是一本好书吧。

看完之后发现Stephen Greenblatt那本 Swerve立论完全是跟着这本书来的，只是加了一个挺牵强的主角视角（Poggio Bracciolini找古书）。相比“拐弯”这个比喻，Burkhardt“面纱”的比喻要简单、片面但也有力得多——文艺复兴揭开中世纪的纱布，人类个体的面貌第一次清晰起来。
