本书适合java初学者，外国教材才叫教材，不像国内的，好像就是专让你看不懂似的，本书幽默风趣，图文并茂。作者总是用最通俗的语言描述java的类与对象。很容易让人懂。整本书自始至终强调编程的思想与风格，不像国内的说得像是什么也没有的枯燥的数字与语言细节。本书加上斯坦...

语言清晰易懂、习题也很有意思，学起来特别流畅，完全没有枯燥的感觉。 看了李兴华等等很多java入门书，这本讲的最给力，就算英语不是很好也能理解，最好不要看中文翻译的，太粗糙了。 话说看完这本看什么呢？有朋友推荐一下么？

好书啊。。。

这是几年前Stanford CS106（计算机入门课）的配套教材。除了相关基本原理、Java基础以及思维方法，作者时不时对计算机历史的回顾也为书增加了趣味，还有课后习题。不过为了让新人 尽快上手，使用了业界很少有人用的ACM Library，掩盖了Java这门语言一些繁琐臃肿的地方，让新人能更多的关注于学习计算原理本身。但如果你已经懂其他编程语言，更多是想学习Java这门语言本身，本书不是理想选择。如果你是计算机初学者又因为某些原因不得不将Java作为初学语言，这本书较理想。
