在iPad上读的，不合适，虽然可以局部放大，但大开本彩图书，看的时候总恨不得能一键挑出所有的文字来（像Safari的阅读模式那样），而且书确实很厚，内容很多，如果光看图，几个小时就看完了，加上文字，加上查字典，不知道要看多久呢？第一章我是逐字逐句看的，查各种部落（或叫小国家）名字和背景知识花了很多时间。到第二章，还是没完没了的打仗，真的就只是在打仗，加上一点点的基督教历史，其他什么事也没写，所以我开始跳着看了。。。到近现代部分终于有不光打仗的内容了。。。二战部分令人有些感动。注：这肯定不是儿童书，语气冷淡成熟，大部分都在讲烧杀抢掠。
