可以算作一本巨型文献综述，介绍了很多经典实验和经典文献。每章开始有main points，每节结束有summary。讨论范围非常宽广，从经典心理语言学的课题，最后延伸到了语言的生物学基础、语言的发生、Sapir-Whorf假说等大问题。不时援引手语，甚至提供了手语皮钦语和克里奥尔语的例子，视野便很宽阔。全书写得无比流畅，不时抖个机灵，可读性也很不错。页边距留得不小(反正我自己打印出来是这样)，很适合边读边做旁批。我们老师选这书做教材，果然是有理由的啊。

language production部分关于self monitoring的增补很有意思。不过似乎和control的范式还没有结合起来？感觉应该有人在做才对。。。
