第一次看英文版的村上春樹，感覺很奇怪。不過反而比中譯本要好懂一些，不知道什麼原因。一開始反應不過來，不過當可以被稱為女主人公的Mari與長號手大段的對話齣現時，可以感受到鮮明的村上風格。那女孩子盡管個性彆扭，但她的說話好像就是自己講的話，很自然而淡漠，有時穿插...

I'm a bit disappointed by Murakami's new book. It's a bit watery to me and felt only half of the story was finished...I couldn't get into it as well as The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle.
