居然把Position上的89曆史根源長文原封不動又搬用一次，好意思？連看兩本英文書（實為翻譯文集）是有點看清瞭汪暉的論述和包裝策略。先痛陳中國新自由主義化導緻政治空間關閉革命已死（我跟你們西方左派共情瞭），再秀一番八九（我有親曆者運動者光環但其實很可疑），再來確實熟悉西方批判/文化馬剋思主義/後現代/世界體係理論並且能運用他們重新論述中國曆史、不管如何維持批判和反建製立場最重要（我學術時髦接得上、圈子進得去），再秀一下確實還廣博的曆史政治經濟分析（我跟你們中的優秀分子一樣能從所謂文化擴展到批判政治經濟學），最後彆忘瞭隱晦地強調在思想空間逐漸關閉大背景下自己是為數不多還持左派批判立場的知識分子（我姿勢也跟你們一樣是難得清流），完成！

重讀。單從理論話語來說，對現代性的反思和對新自由主義的批判本身都沒什麼亮點，但是作者的貢獻在於把自己的親身經曆融入到這些反思裏，同時在寫作中一直保持著批評的立場（而不是簡單地標簽和站隊），這一點實屬可貴。英文版的問題：有相當多的句子/段落/小節憑空消失瞭，比如這句——【"新自由主義"得以經常假藉"民間"、"社會"和"市場"的名義，一方麵能夠影響國傢的改革政策，另一方麵卻又在海外媒體 (尤其是港颱和美國媒體) 中扮演反對"計劃經濟"、"共産主義"或"專製主義"國傢的角色。"】(p.111) 很好奇翻譯的刪改理由是什麼。
