李建群，現為中央美術學院美術史係教授，外國美術教研室教師，碩士研究生導師。主攻西方近現代美術史。1984-1987年中央美術學院美術史係研究生，獲碩士學位；1987至今，中央美術院美術史係教師；1992-1993年，倫敦大學考陶爾美術學院訪問學者，主修中世紀美術；2002年，倫敦大學大學學院美術史係高訪學者，主修英國美術史，西方女性藝術研究。該書由李建群女士組織中央美院師生一流翻譯團隊集體完成。

隻看瞭圖片及其旁邊的講解，太贊！感覺自己的審美水平被提高瞭不少呢！

God....看瞭一兩個月終於看完瞭....真的估計是藝術史入門最精彩的一本書瞭，從visual art的角度齣發涉及到曆史，政治，經濟，宗教等各個方麵，給我的常識大大的上瞭一課。這本書的篇幅的分配也非常閤理，沒有eurocentric的傾嚮，非洲，亞洲及美洲的文化都給予瞭重視。也基本上給瞭史上worthy的藝術傢們他們應得的尊重和賞識。作品的選擇非常有代錶性，和當時盛行的風格一緻，插圖和補充說明的內容都非常selective and informative

本學期聽得最認真的課今日殺青瞭，盡管藝術通史課有著展開度上的局限，但畢竟還是直觀的。另外，不推薦大傢買《加德納藝術通史》（雖然我買的是這個，說多瞭都是淚），因為它把中國、日本和亞非拉藝術基本刪去瞭，名為通史，實際是歐洲史。所以要買的話也要買貴一倍的《加德納世界藝術史》，是真正涵蓋瞭世界藝術的一版。這本書不能算是完整讀完，聊以留念。
