And back in England, the third novel, "Some Hope, "offers a sober and clean Patrick the possibility of recovery. The fourth novel, the Booker-shortlisted "Mother's Milk, " returns to the family chateau, where Patrick, now married and a father himself, struggles with child rearing, adultery, his mother's desire for assisted suicide, and the loss of the family home to a New Age foundation. 開頭就很驚艷，可惜我看得太潦草

斷斷續續讀瞭兩個半月，啃得太辛苦瞭……行文流暢筆鋒又冷，字裏行間揮之不去的自嘲和尖銳，小說裏的Melrose愛人被愛都是無法停止的睏苦，相比之下劇版是多麼仁慈。

為什麼我覺得故事拍齣來比較有趣

先看的電視劇，看書的時候覺得和電視劇一毛一樣，但是電視劇多一星cinematography。無法enjoy這個故事，也沒有喜歡的人物，so... not for me...
