第一原则如果只是自我绝对设定自我，那么就还是为了第三者的存在。当费希特重新将als引入第一原则，自我和非我就在本源意义上交织，谓述空间已经自行设定出来，而这一设定是严格自相关的。德国古典哲学的核心恰恰是本源有限性。

Zoeller的这本书对于英语费希特学界是有里程碑意义的。书里对知识学方案的整体把握是非常清晰有力的，如果要说有什么可惜，那么就是在细节的论证上仍然过多关注了耶拿早期著作，对后期作品仍然是以介绍为主。不过这本书真的非常出色，特别是Zoeller作为非母语作者的书面英语写作真的是典范级的。

严格意义上第一本认真看完的英文哲学文献，纪念一下......费希特面对的是一种经验主义式的独断论和康德的理论性先验哲学的考验，前者在他看来是不成立的一种视角，后者则是不彻底的一种视角。想要建立完整的先验哲学，必须在理论哲学之外补全先验意义上的实践哲学（而不是道德形而上学），重要的是，必须让理论和实践统一成一种先验哲学形态。由此费希特在众多版本的知识学中开始探索，本质上是要解决原初意义上的不一性（duplicity）问题，也因此发明出了众多对立项，从一开始的"I AND NOT-I",到后面的“thinking and willing”、“ideal and real”......如何在展开的同时又弥合这些对立项，是费希特哲学中最困难的问题，也是费希特本人似乎没有完全解决的问题。
