這次把The Waste Land和Prufrock之外的內容補完瞭……艾略特似乎對“人的（動）物化”（e.g. the silent vertebrate in brown & murderous paws）、“（動）物的人化”（大量奇妙的擬人運用）、“沼氣”（以及相似的“毒氣”“陰霾”blah blah，有內在聯係的“骯髒”）等概念組閤特彆迷戀……一些與其他Modernism作品的共通性：對日常生活意象的關注；真相的不可知性；有限個體試圖把握宏大曆史而生發齣的無力感。

反復對照T.S.艾略特的朗誦（他生前朗讀瞭自己大部分的重要詩篇，錄音youtobe上都有，還有一些英國演員的朗誦）讀完。感觸很多。最喜歡《Ｊ·阿爾弗雷德·普羅弗洛剋的情歌》《空心人》《四首四重奏》（這本英文選集裏沒有這組詩）這幾首。
