羅素這本書寫得很短，有些地方略得太多並且翻譯有些晦澀讀起來不是很舒服，用“共相的世界”延續柏拉圖的“理念的世界”，羅素在“感覺”本體論的末端走嚮瞭超時空的概念“共相”，糅雜瞭柏拉圖、貝剋萊和馬赫於一身。【第一章】　現象與實在直接經驗告訴我們的東西可能犯錯...

這本書不深，麵嚮普通讀者的，對一些基本哲學問題進行討論。每個哲學問題，當然各傢有各傢觀點，羅素在本書中的觀點還是很有見地，能夠自圓其說的。但這本書最大的價值，我認為還是羅素對哲學和科學問題的定義和區分，很讓人受用，一般讀者看後肯定不再認為哲學是那種虛無縹緲...

哲學入門可考慮看的書籍，雖然思辨很精彩，但實在沒有耐心完整的看哲學的曆史演變，最後兩張相對比較精彩。

【2014.09.20？- 2014.11.02】基本上是一本廁所讀物！但這並不妨礙我學到，或者說至少開始思考，不少東西。迴想起來大概是2003年9月底在新校圖書館讀中文版卻不瞭瞭之，十一年後完成瞭這件事，也是值得慶祝吧。內容太多，需要再讀。最後一章論及哲學的價值寫得非常精彩，基本可以單獨拿齣來作爲Essay記誦。
