在杨先生回忆中走了一遍中国现代史。

1.本以为杨老是贫苦好学留学生，原来各种有钱各种会享受生活也各种叛逆啊。 2.看到初到伦敦时熟悉的地名:Russel Square, Tottenham court, Gower St还有Royal hotel,正是当下自己生活的地方。 3 好多地方提到和某人一别后就再也没见了/不知道是否还在世，很是唏嘘。 4 感谢互联网，感谢Wiki，查了里面的一些人，如Sir Cecil Beaton, John Blofeld, Henry Mcaleavy, Adrian Conway Evans 5 SOAS两次出现 6 自传最先是1990年写的，然后英译意大利语出版。1999年加的postscript，结尾说到记忆力下降，然后最后一句是 I am eighty-five this year.

没有从书中得到特别的信息，倒是很惊讶作者年轻时在国外的富足生活。过了那样的生活再回国经历这一长串近代事件，确实能屈能伸。最后那段入了党又退党的有些意思。
