我觉得罗素的这本《西方哲学史》，如果去掉所有的“废话”，完全可以厚度减半。 这种“废话”不是车轱辘话来回说的普通废话，而是每句话里都有一点点（不重要的）信息量的“高级废话”。它们看上去很重要，但如果你把它们删掉，不仅不会影响全文，还会提高阅读体验。 我也算混...

我们都读过商务印书馆的上下2册的汉译本。但我意外的获得这本书的纽约初版的英文精装本，单册，1945年版。自然久，九成新，但硬皮和纸张质量非常好，非国内书籍能比，保守的说，至少还可以使用100年。如果有钟意此书的书友，可以接洽

To me it is a comprehensive book as an introduction of western culture and thinking. More important than what has been told, are the ideas and interests that have been inspired during the past year of my reading. He is really a great guide.
