我為什麼會喜歡《玻璃動物園》。 我喜歡的明明是孤獨浪漫的夢。喜歡的是夜深人靜時候長長的小巷子裏那個小小的發齣微弱光綫的香水店，它四周明晃晃的玻璃，裏頭很小聲的音樂，和空氣裏的香氣。 這些永遠遇不到的永遠不存在的夢，永遠永遠存在在空洞分裂的現實裏。 湯姆說，“我後來不願意去看電影瞭，因為電影總是讓人更願意去看電影，而不再想著去做點什麼。” 劇本找得很辛苦，各種地方各式各樣的譯本拼湊起來終於讀完，希望有機會能讀到原版。
